About me...

I’m based in Calgary, Alberta, and often find myself immersed in nature—whether I’m leading retreats or enjoying activities like mountain biking, hiking, and skiing. I’m the founder of Balance Quest, a wellness company dedicated to helping others find balance, well-being, and the mental strength to handle life’s challenges.

I hold a degree in Health and Wellness Promotion from the University of Alberta, and over the years, I’ve built a career as a mindset and life coach, as well as a mindfulness and mental wellness speaker. I’ve delivered presentations at workplaces and conferences across Canada and virtually around the world.

Since becoming a Certified Life Coach and Mindset Coach with The Coaches Training Institute in 2004, I’ve had the privilege of coaching hundreds of clients around the globe. My approach focuses on helping individuals develop a resilient, growth-oriented mindset, aligning their actions with their values and goals. I support my clients in overcoming mental blocks, improving their confidence, and cultivating mental toughness, empowering them to lead more fulfilling personal and professional lives.

In my mindset coaching, I help clients understand the power of their thoughts, supporting them in shifting limiting beliefs and building the confidence to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and purpose. I also work with clients to create actionable strategies that achieve long-term personal growth, manage stress effectively, and increase emotional well-being.

I’m a Licensed HeartMath™ & Resilience Coach and Trainer, certified through the HeartMath™ Institute in California. I integrate HeartMath™ techniques to help clients manage their emotions, reduce stress, and cultivate greater happiness.

Since the late 1990s, I’ve been a devoted student of Zen Master and mindfulness teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, and I’ve had the opportunity to study regularly with him at his retreat centers in France and Germany. I also share insights from other renowned teachers like Jon Kabat-Zinn, Pema Chödrön, and Sharon Salzberg in my mindfulness and meditation classes, presentations, and retreats.

I became a certified yoga teacher in 2000 and have traveled to India and other countries to deepen my yoga practice, including studying under Ashtanga Yoga Guru Sri Pattabhi Jois. Since then, I’ve led over 75 mindfulness, meditation, and yoga retreats, teaching thousands of students both locally and internationally.

For more than two decades, I’ve been teaching mindfulness, mindset, and mental performance strategies to employees, athletes, and individuals who are looking to improve their performance and reduce stress.

I’ve had the honor of working with the Canadian National Alpine, Freestyle, and Biathlon teams at World Cup events and the Salt Lake City and Vancouver Olympics, as well as the Canadian National Surf Team. Helping athletes enhance their mental performance and manage stress in high-pressure environments has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

Outside of my professional work, I love outdoor adventures with friends and exploring new destinations around the world.
