TRACEY DELFS AND HER EXPERIENCE LEADING
MINDFULNESS, MEDITATION & YOGA RETREATS
Tracey is passionate about leading retreats and has been leading mindfulness, meditation & yoga retreats since 2000. She has led over 70 retreats and currently leads a number of retreats every year though out Canada and overseas.
She has been studying mindfulness meditation with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh on a regular basis since the late 90's and has been teaching mindfulness meditation for over 15 years. She has also travelled and studied with many other mindfulness teachers including: Jon Kabat-Zinn, Pema Chodron and Sharan Salzberg. Tracey shares the wisdom she has gained from these great mindfulness teachers when she leads her retreats.
Tracey became a Certified Yoga Teacher in 2000 and since then has taught thousands of people yoga teaching regular classes in Canmore and Calgary. Over the years she has been blessed to travel to India and throughout the World studying with many great yoga teachers including Sri Patabbhi Jois (the guru of Ashtanga Yoga).
The style of yoga she teaches is a combination of slow Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga. She teaches mixed level classes and ensures that people with all levels of experience feel welcome (including beginners).
5-Benefits for you to go on a Mindfulness, Meditation & Yoga Retreat...
1. Allows you to 'unplug' from your every day routine and re-connect with yourself.
Retreats give us a break away from our usual distractions such as cell phones, computers, work and family. Letting go of all these distractions, gives us the time to reflect on how we are living our lives and re-connect to ourselves and what's really important to us.
2. Time for you to relax, recharge and revitalize.
You deserve some time away from the responsibilities and chaos of everyday life. Enjoying some down time and having someone else cook your meals and take care of you versus you taking care of everyone else. Creating the space for you to relax and recharge.
3. Connect with nature.
All of Tracey's retreats are located in beautiful places in nature. Walking, sitting and just being in nature will allow you to de-stress, feel grounded, become more present and will result in you feeling calmer and happier.
4. Learn more skills of 'how' to live more in present moment and then 'how' to integrate these skills when you go back home.
A weekend filled with teachings and practices of mindfulness, meditation and yoga is a great way to learn or be re-commit to making these practices part of your daily life when you go back home. Inspiring you to live your life more in the here and now.
5. A great opportunity to be with like minded people.
People that sign up for Tracey's mindfulness, meditation and yoga retreats are people just like you. The retreats are set up so there is a blend of time interacting with and enjoying the company of like-minded people at meals, etc. and time by yourself in silence for reflection.
